Seoul

Above: The worst (left) and best (right) experiences I had well in Korea. Endured a messy situation at a public squatter w/out paper support. And at the opposite end of the spectrum was in a bar in the Itaewon neighborhood -- mood lighting, soft music, fragrent ambient smells, and a large-scale floral arrangement in a glass case behind the commode.

June, 2003. Long story short, I found myself in Seoul for a couple of days. My initial inclination was to attempt the National assembly. After researching it, I couldn't make it fit the schedule, so I made plans for a secondary target: Seoul City Hall. Unfortunately, I arrived at City Hall just as six bus loads of riot police arrived to secure the building against an expected demonstration. I decided I was far too far outside my element to continue and the mission was aborted. However, the payload I was carrying required attention (hence the public squatter, above).
